Gentle support to soften overeating and eat less sugar
In this signature workshop, you’ll learn why and how food can become a substitute attachment – a place of soothing, regulation, connection, and attunement – and not just a ‘bad habit’ of overeating. From this perspective, food addictions are emotional bonds that serve core needs and regulate the nervous system.
And with this insight, we can approach overeating with more empathy, understanding and clarity, leading to less shame, less stigma, and a greater possibility for change.
This event is being hosted by PCPSI, Professional Counselling and Psychotherapy Seminars Ireland.
This workshop is suitable for all levels and is especially pertinent for helping professionals – therapists, counselors, social workers, and coaches – as well as medical professionals who want to better understand the emotional dynamics that lie underneath a distressed relationship with food.
